Located in the South East area of Alpe d'Huez, and only 100m from the ski lifts, Les Bergers is ideally located only a short walk from the central restaurants, bars and shops and enjoys excellent views of the resort and the Massif des Ecrins valley.

The residence has a sauna and an outdoor swimming pool, and each apartment is comfortable and well furnished with comfortable sleeping arrangements and access to a communal lounge area with open fire and pool table.

  • Smooth check in, room wasn't ready, but we had arrived before the 5pm check in anyway. They sent us a text while we were getting our skis from over the road to let us know we could get our key, which was nice.
    Room better than expected, nicely finished bathroom, no English channels on tv (not really a problem). Only 3 of us in a 6 bed (1 double room, 1 twin room with front door in it, pull out sofa) so plenty of room, might be a squash for 6 and storage would definitely be an issue.
    Very convenient for slopes, 5 min walk to the snow, 10 mins to the ski school mustering area. Very convenient for les bergers shopping arcade which was very well appointed, all you need on the holiday. 15 minute walk to the main street.
    Hot water ran out mid evening, but we just showered when we got back from the slopes.
    Very useful free ski lockers downstairs.
    Bar area not as big as expected from the pictures, but was never full.
    Nice restaurant on the premises.
    We would gladly go again.

  • We rented a 1 bedroom apartment for one week. The apartment was as described, was excellent value and in a great location.
    You also receive free access to astonishing facilities across Alpe d'Huez during the summer, including the ice rink, gym and sport centre.

  • The accommodation ticks all the boxes. Great value for money, friendly staff, clean apartments, sensational location (Les Bergers has all required amenities and really is 100m from a lift that can access all areas), great views, and a good evening restaurant (if required). It does not have the elegance of some of the more expensive options but if it is a comfortable, self - catering ski holiday you are after then look no further. I have skied Alpe d'heuz on a number of occasions and this was the best base I have had to experience the mountains. I will be returning with my family.

  • Very pleased with the very friendly and helpful staff also the amenities offered at no extra charge. The apartment was offered as suitable for 6/8 persons but I would have said that 6 adults would be the correct number. We were in fact a group of 5 and as the price worked out at £270 per person for the week it was very good value for money.

Location

Located in Bergers area of Alpe d'Huez about 100m from the Alpauris, Marmottes 1, Romains and the Fontbelle lifts and a short walk from the centre of Alpe d'Heuz.

Directions

Before you enter Alpe d'Huez follow signs to the Altiport or the Bergers region of town by taking a small slip road off the right just below the town. Continue on round various bends for a mile or so and select the first right just as you come to Alpe d'Huez. The property is about 50m ahead on the right.

Long stay (7+ nights): Check in from 5pm until close (see reception hours)

Short stay (2-6 days & mid-week arrival): check in from 4pm until the close (check reception hours)

It is the guest's responsibility to arrive between the hours of check-in. In the case of late arrival, guests must notify the property reception on the telephone number provided, otherwise access to the apartment cannot be guaranteed.

Security deposit of €200 to be paid at check-in.

On arrival, if there are any issues with cleanliness these should be reported to the Residence Manager immediately.

In order to qualify for a full refund of the security deposit, apartments must be left in a reasonable state and kitchenette and all dishes must be cleaned.
