Perhaps a better choice than Chamonix for families, Argentière offers some advantages, including the excellent Panda Club which offers non-ski nursery care for babies from six months of age and then special half or full day ski school from age three, or the French Ski School (ESF) which has two children’s fun snow learning areas for three to five year olds too.
There are disadvantages like the limited family-friendly ski terrain, the busy main road and the lack of many facilities off the slopes. However the village is a friendly place and there are several places that are fun and relaxed for children to eat in, so in many ways Argentière is what you make of it for a family holiday.
