A little pampering after skiing
Before it decided to become a ski area in the mid-1940s after the last war, Chatel in fact first began promoting itself as a spa destination. This idea never really took off (at least, not as well as the skiing did), but the resort does retain several spa facilities to enjoy during your ski holiday.
The Authentique Voyage Spa in the Hôtel Macchi (+33 (0)4 50 73 24 12; and La Fée du Bien-être in La Flèche d’Or (+33 (0)4 50 73 25 80; both offer a variety of beauty and relaxation treatments and La Fée du Bien-Etre also has a new hydrotherapy centre.
In addition the Cabinet Thoule Hubschwerlin (+33 (0)4 50 81 77 71) and the Institut Beauté Pétales (+33 (0)4 50 81 37 61) massage centres both offer a relaxing environment.
Chatel also has a swimming pool complex Forme d'O (+33 (0)4 50 72 04 31) with indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, hammams and a cardio room to relax and unwind.
