The Best Activities & Attractions For Families
La Clusaz has a good selection of family friendly terrain on the mountain and family-friendly dining and accommodation. However, as different parts of the village and the ski slopes can be quite far apart, it’s worth checking where your accommodation is and its convenience to the ski slopes if you don’t want to be spending too much time waiting for the shuttle bus.
The village has a non-ski nursery that accepts children aged from eight months, while ski school will take children from age four for beginner lessons in a special snow play area.
There are some good facilities to enjoy together off the slopes too. The Aqua Centre (434, route de la Piscine; +33 (0) 4 50 02 43 01; laclusaz.org), open to 7.30pm each evening, is a great facility for families with paddling pool, fountain, indoor and outdoor pools heated to 29 degrees Celcius. The 1,000 square metre ice rink (94, place du Pré de Foire; +33 (0) 4 50 02 48 45; patinoirelaclusaz.free.fr) is another major asset and offers ice hockey lessons for children aged nine to 16 years.
