Grindelwald has many attractions for families including plenty of family-friendly dining options, good facilities on the slopes, lots to do off-the-slopes including the public swimming pool with its big flume, as well as the stunning scenery and lovely atmosphere to experience together.
The Swiss Ski and Snowboard School (+(0)41 033 853 39 69) operates the Snowli Sunshine Children’s Club in the Männlichen – Kleine Scheidegg ski area for children half day or full day, with or without lunch cover. For first turns on the snow, the school also operates a Kids' Club Snowli on Bodmi from Mondays to Fridays where children three years and older have fun learning alongside Snowli, the ski school’s mascot. Sessions can be booked for half or full days with lunchtime cover available if required.
Lessons include drawing and playing in the snow, singing and dancing with Snowli and visits to the special Inuit igloo. In a new special offer children as young as six months can take private lessons on request on Fridays.
A second school, Felix Ski Paradise (+41 (0) 33 853 12 88; is particularly child friendly with special facilities on Männlichen, and most of the other ski schools have lessons for older children too.
