Telluride has quite a good nightlife scene mixing traditional establishments like New Sheridan, with its bar more than a century old, and very new establishments in the mountain village.

The apres ski usually kicks off at the Hop Garden (+1 (970) 728 7467) at the base of lift 4 (the Village express) as soon as the lifts close in mid-afternoon. It offers a menu of beers from around the world and an outdoor bar and beer garden that are European-themed. The bar at the 9545 Restaurant within the Inn at Lost Creek in the Mountain Village (+1 (970) 728 6293) is worth a look for those who like at least some of their drinks shorter. You’ll find single malt whisky, small-batch bourbons, mojitos, a signature 9545 cosmopolitan cocktail and a good selection of beers.

In the old town there are more than 50 bars, restaurants and night spots. The long-established Fly Me To The Moon Saloon (136 E. Colorado Avenue) which has been in business for more than 25 years and has a stage for live music is always popular, as is the Last Dollar.
Later on the Bubble Lounge, (200 W. Colorado Avenue; +1 (970) 728 9653) which serves organic wines and champagnes through the evening, becomes a night club with specialty martinis through to 2am.
