Dining in Bourg-Saint-Maurice
Food-wise, Bourg St Maurice is certainly no less alpine than any of the chocolate box villages you find higher up in the mountains. There's a wide range of restaurants in town, and menus feature plenty of the traditional Savoyard favourites - tartiflette, raclette and fondue, as well as delicious local cheese and an abundance of charcuterie.

Le Chamarel (+33 479 07 50 85) is a great option for traditional cuisine, their diverse menu is influenced by delcious Indian flavours. The light-filled restaurant is a lovely place to enjoy lunch with friends, or book a table in the evening for a romantic candle-lit dinner.
If you fancy something a bit different, try the newly opened Alta Rocca on the Avenue du Stade (+33 479 00 69 00). They serve Corsican and Italian specialities, and are already becoming famous for their amazing pizzas.
