  • In response to the previous review, I would say that St Gervais is no Chamonix, Vald'Isere or Morzine. It does have a decent enough nightlife, but on the more traditional French level. You will rarely see outrageous displays of drunken or loutish behaviour. And this translates to the ski slopes, often empty, perfectly groomed, considerate skiers, and polite & helpful lift attendants. St Gervais has a number of decent restaurants for such a small village, including the Serac, mentioned in a recent Michelin guide for the quality of it's cuisine. It's a stunning gem of a resort, but of course, won't be suitable for everybody.

  • Clean, functional and warm. Downside - very narrow beds; and no bath (but that's typical of most resorts appartments). Kitchenette area well equiped if small. The resort is very quiet with little or no night life and very limited range of restaurants - on the whole, enjoyed the short stay...would i go back to this resort though - no!

Although the hotel itself doesn't have a spa, the town of St Gervais is well renowned for its excellent spa facilities and offers a variety of different treatments; see the ‘Spa’ section of the resort guide for more details.

Families & Children

With good facilities for children in the resort and child friendly terrain, this is a great resort for families, especially given the relaxed nature of St Gervais.

Location

Les Arolles is located in the upper part of Saint Gervais Les Bains, and about 900 meters or a15 minute walk from the nearest lift Bettex-Mont d'Arbois gondola and slightly over a kilometer from the resort centre.

There is a public bus stop on the main road just 5 minutes (300m) down from the residence. This bus is free for those with lift passes and will drop you at the gondola which takes you to slopes at Les Bettex.

No public buses run directly to the slopes, however reservations can be made in advance for private travel and will take 30minutes by road to reach the slopes.

Directions

Head right through St Gervais village untill you reach cross roads, follow the signs to Megeve, continue past the Pont du Diable bridge and take the first road on the left, Route du Mont Joly). After 2 beds down, slow down and take the second drive on your right down to the sign posted residence.

Arrivals must take place within reception opening hours. In case of a delay on the arrival date, please contact the residence’s reception directly to agree on an alternative arrangement, otherwise access to the accommodation cannot be guaranteed.

On arrival, if there are any issues with cleanliness these should be reported to the Residence Manager immediately

In order to qualify for a full refund of the security deposit, apartments (including kitchenette) must be left fully cleaned. A cleaning charge will be incurred if accommodation is not left thoroughly cleaned.
