Vaujany Mountain Restaurants
Vaujany has half a dozen restaurants in its local sector and there are another dozen to be found in the full Grandes Rousses area.
Three are located in the Montfrais sector - Le Vaujaniat (+33 (0)4 76 80 71 87); Les Airelles (+33 (0)4 76 80 79 78) and Au P'tit Truc (+33 (0)4 76 79 86 70) all offering a good mix of fast food items and some traditional Alpine mountain dishes.
Elsewhere La P'Oz Chez Passoud (+33 (0)4 76 80 78 96) is also good and in the Alpette sector try the Auberge de l'Alpette (+33 (0)4 76 80 70 00) or La Grange (+33 (0)4 76 11 03 66).
Restaurants in Vaujany
There are half a dozen restaurants in Vaujany.
Les Cimes (+33 (0)4 76 79 86 50 and La Table de la Fare (+33 (0)4 76 11 03 95) are good for regional cuisine. For Italian food, La Remise (+33 (0)4 76 80 77 11; www.restaurant-laremise.com) nearby is great for pizza and does take aways.
If you just fancy a quick crepe La Remise is a good option, or the fast food service at La Cabane aux Crêpes (+33 (0)4 76 79 58 48) in la Galerie Marchande – take away or eat on the terrace.
Grocery Shops
Most of the food shops in Vaujany are of the small, traditional variety. The Atre de Vaujany (+33 (0) 4 76 798 251) in the shopping mall as well as Affaire de Goûts (+33 (0)4 76 798 646 and La Mi Do Ré (+33 (0)4 76 110 452), both in the village centre, sell traditional French bread as well as other baked food products and regional produce. Most other food requirements can be catered for in the local Spar (+33 (0)4 76 798 291) mini-supermarket in the shopping mall.
