Adelboden Mountain Restaurants
There are reported to be more than 40 restaurants across the Adelboden ski area, most of them traditional establishments with beautiful and often spectacular views. On Engstligenalp the Berghaus Bärtschi (+41 (0) 33 673 13 73; berghausbaertschi.ch) is famed for its home made rösti (hash browns) and fruit cakes, and the Elsigbach (+41 (0) 33 671 13 45; restaurant-elsigbach.ch) down at the base of the lifts is well known for its daily special and meat dishes served on hot stones. The centrally located Geilsbrüggli und Ländler-Stübli (+41 (0) 33 673 21 71; geilsbrueggli.ch) is one of the most popular, partly as three cable cars meet here.
Restaurants In Adelboden
There are several dozen restaurants in Adelboden and while most are traditional Swiss quality establishments, often within the resort’s hotels, there are several alternative choices to the plethora of purveyors of traditional cheese raclettes and fondue. Adelboden has a selection of traditional food retailers including a bakery, Café Haueter (Dorfstrasse 27; +41 (0)33 673 12 34; haueter-adelboden.ch) which offers a breakfast delivery service.
