There are a dozen places to eat on mountain, most of them fun cafeterias serving classic American diner fare. The Boulder Lodge (+1 (775) 586 2381 and California Lodge (+1 (530) 542 5197) are typical, the latter with ‘something for everyone’ in the food court which serves pastrami, Mediterranean bruschetta and barbecued pork.
The East Peak Lodge (+1 (775) 586 2334) is good for paninis, pizza and Mexican cuisine, while the Sky Deck Burger Bar (+1 (775) 586 2367) is a locals' favourite with barbeque, more pizza and a range of ‘exotic’ burgers along with the regular choices including buffalo, elk or salmon burgers.
The Gunbarrel Grill (+1 (775) 586 2301) at Lakeview Lodge is the sole full-service dining option on the mountain.
