Tomorrow, on the 5th of April, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) are to make a decision on whether to accept Women’s Ski Jumping into the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

This comes after five years of campaigning and an unsuccessful legal battle to get Women’s Ski Jumping into the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. The first woman to become the women’s world champion was Lindsey Van in 2009 and she was among the many campaigning for its inclusion.

IOC officials commenced the two day discussion in London today on the 4th of April and will also consider the entry of Ski Halfpipe, Snowboard and Skiing Slopestyle, Mixed Relay Biathlon as well as the team events, Luge and Figure Skating into the Olympic Program.
