Val Thorens is one of those amazing ski resorts that manages to cater to everyone; from families to groups of friends, and from beginners to experts.

This fantastic video highlights why the resort is such an incredible ski holiday destination.

Laurence Perrin from the Tourist Office explains “Val Thorens is a multi-cultural resort with a developing team spirit that offers fantastic melting pot of activities, atmospheres, experiences, lifestyles… In conclusion, a unified and unifying resort that is now proud to introduce the following brand banner: Val Thorens United”.

As Europe’s highest resort you are pretty much guaranteed snow, and the season is incredibly long, lasting approximately from the 24th of November to the 12th of May. Val Thorens has a lot to offer, what it perhaps lacks in ‘chocolate box’ charm, it makes up for in convenience. The majority of our accommodation sits in a ski-in/ski-out position.

If you're a family or a group of mixed ability then Val Thorens is a perfect choice, with some gentle nursery slopes and magic carpets just outside our accommodation Le Hameau du Soleil or Le Hameau du Kashmir, and after a long day in ski school there are plenty of swimming pools and activities to keep children entertained.

For the more experienced skiers there is the rest of Val Thorens to explore, and as part of the three valleys there is no chance of exhausting the skiing on offer. As après-ski goes, the famous Folie Douce is a 'must see'! There is nothing like coming up the Plein Sud lift as the music rises, and eventually seeing crowds dancing on the tables, live acts performing and skiers dancing on the piste as they slide by.

The party continues into the night with live acts performing in the nightclub Malaysia. If you don’t fancy being sprayed with champagne, then a more civilised meal in the highest 2 starred Michelin restaurant in the world, the Oxalys which is located in Residence l’Oxalys, would be an unforgettable experience.

Powderbeds have a wide range of accommodation on offer in Val Thorens, from cosy apartments to luxurious hotels, so there is something to suit everyone. Prices start at just £31 per apartment per night so click here to see our best ski deals in Val Thorens.
