Offering breath-taking views over the valley and Mont Blanc, Chalet Altitude is a well-designed residence in an excellent location just 50 metres from the pistes and a short walk from the centre of Arc 2000.

Apartments are decorated in traditional Savoyard style, with wood-burning fireplaces that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Facilities on-site include an indoor heated pool, a sauna, and a small supermarket.

  • Wonderfully spacious accommodation with a great bedroom to bathroom ratio. Apartment was very clean and comfortable. The pool area was the best we've had yet. The ski/boot room was well organised with heated boot warmers in the lockers, plenty of places to sit down and easy access to outside. The reception staff were extremely helpful and the little supermarket inside the Chalet Altitude building had everything we needed to cook for 4 adults and 4 tweens/teens every night. There is a little drag lift to get to the slopes 50m away from the ski/boot room which wouldn't be suitable for beginners but there is also a lift inside a building for those on foot. You can also ski back to the bottom of the drag lift at the end of the day. Despite not quite being ski in/out, we preferred Chalet Altitude to the accommodation at Le Village Arc 1950 due to Altitude being more spacious, having a superior pool area and vastly better ski/boot room.

  • Good accommodation, spacious. Room 53. Beginning to look like it’s 10 years old but for two families (4 bedrooms) perfectly functional and definitely a step up on our previous place in 1950. Large, spacious lounge area with plenty of space for everyone to relax. DVD player on request (free) from reception.

    We visited friends in a newer complex - smarter but proportionately much smaller.

    Really good pool/sauna/wellness centre with wet play area for kids. Definitely a huge step up on that in 1950 - no comparison.

    There is underground parking and a short walk to the nearest tow bar, which takes you up into the main starting area (lessons etc).

    This year (2017-18) there is also a supermarket in the ground floor of the building so very convenient.

    All in all a good place to stay.

Wellness centre

Chalet Altitude Arc 2000 offers fantastic modern wellness facilities, including a sensory waterfall whirlpool as well as a sauna and a heated indoor pool, the latter of which has amazing views of the mountains. There's also a fitness room for those with energy left over after their ski. Opening hours are from 10am till 8pm every day. For the winter season 2023-24 the children's pool will be closed.

Sports & Recreation Facilities

The residence is only 50 metres from the ski school meeting point and there is a ski hire shop attached to the residence.

Families & Children

Cots, high-chairs, booster seats, baths, and bottle-warmers can be borrowed, subject to availability. Please note that cots do not come with bedding.

Location

The residence is just a few minutes' walk to the main shops and restaurants of Arc 2000, and only 50 metres from the pistes.

Directions

Take the Motorway to Albertville, then follow signs for Moutiers. Take the RN 90 to Bourg-Saint Maurice. Go straight through Bourg-Saint-Maurice and follow signs for Les Arcs

A funicular connects the train station in Bourg St Maurice to Les Arcs resort every 20 min and then shuttles bring you to Arc 2000. These shuttles are free and operate from 7.30 am - 9 p.m.

There is also the option of taxis from the station.

General policies

A security deposit of €500 must be paid at check-in. In order to qualify for a full refund of the security deposit, kitchen and dishes must be cleaned. The inventory will be checked on your departure and security deposit will be refunded providing everything is in order. If you are departing before 7am then your security deposit will be refunded within 7 days .
