We’ve all been there when booking a ski holiday- overwhelmed with choices and struggling to find the perfect place to keep everyone happy. So we’ve made a handy cheat sheet for you on Les Arcs which we’re sure will be a crowd pleaser for your next ski holiday!
Les Arcs is in the vast Paradiski area which has incredible views, almost guaranteed snow coverage and activities for kids and après lovers alike. What more could you want?! It’s made of four villages- 1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000- each with their own unique charm and appeal. Les Arcs features purpose built accommodation which is predominantly ski in/ ski out it’s also good to note that there is also a free shuttle bus service between the four villages giving you the chance to explore all that Les Arcs has to offer.

2000
With the best access to the slopes and boasting a range of accommodation that can host up to 16 people, is Les Arcs 2000. If you want to roll out of bed and be on the slopes as quick as possible, then this is the place for you.
Due to its high altitude, 2000 has the best snow conditions of the Les Arcs resort and with a good selection of blue, red and black runs, there’s something for everyone. In contrast to 1600, the runs above 2000 are free of trees which exposes the stunning views looking over to Mont Blanc. Although it is the highest village in Les Arcs, 2000 is well connected to the rest of the resort with transport links and has plenty to offer in the way of shops and activities such as ice skating. We’d recommend staying at Chalet Altitude if Les Arcs 2000 sounds like your cup of tea.

1950
Looking for a more stylish village with some luxurious bars and restaurants? In that case, Les Arcs 1950 is the place to be. There is a convenient pedestrian gondola between 1950 and 2000 which runs into the late evening, 1950 also has great access to the lifts.
1950 was designed by the same architect who created Whistler in Canada so has a different look to the other villages in Les Arcs. If 1950 is the place for you then we’d suggest booking into Le Village Arc 1950.

If you’re looking to be in the centre of all the action then Les Arcs 1800 is the ideal location for your snowy break. This village is the largest in Les Arcs.
Mille 8 is the best feature of Les Arcs for kids, it’s a leisure centre bursting with activities which are sure to keep your little ones entertained when they aren’t on the slopes. In additional to Mille 8 there are around one hundred shops as well as an ice rink, cinema. You won’t be short of things to keep you entertained in 1800 and if you fancy letting your hair down when you’ve finished exploring the slopes then there’s plenty of bars and clubs to serve your après needs. Eden Arc is a great choice for accommodation in Les Arcs 1800.

Last but not least, for the easiest access when travelling to the resort and for the best value accommodation, Les Arcs 1600 is the place for you. 1600 is a mere seven minute funicular ride from Bourg St Maurice train station or an hour and a half transfer from Chambery airport.
Due to 1600 being the lowest altitude village in Les Arcs, the accommodation tends to be better value. In the village there are a fair amount of shops and plenty of forests which provide stunning runs offering a change of scenery from the breath taking views from up the mountain. This village is ideal for families who aren’t looking to be out too late and would appreciate spacious accommodation in a quiet location. We would suggest staying at Lagrange Vacances Residence Le Roc Belle Face to get the best of Les Arcs 1600.
