The centre of Champagny has a pleasant square lined with shops, restaurants and a few bars. In common with most French resorts the nightlife is far from hedonistic and in fact often quiet overall, but there are three or four popular bars that are usually busy. In fact, if you fancy coffee and cake after your day on the slopes rather than a beer, then maybe the "Au son des clarines" (Le Centre; +33 (0)6 79 66 30 13) tea room with its fresh baked goodies is a better choice.

Otherwise popular bars include Pitchoun (Le Crey, +33 (0)4 79 06 41 20), warm and friendly and open to 2am, and lively La Timbale (+33 (0)4 79 55 04 45), which sometimes has live music and DJs. There’s also a ‘very French’ disco open to 5am.
