It’s no surprise to hear that the après-ski scene in Vallorcine is fairly quiet with only a handful of bars to choose from, at the train station where L'Arrêt Bougnête (+33 (0)4 50 54 63 04) is located at the bottom of the piste for an easy end-of-day stop, and in the hotels such as the traditional Le Buet.
But a night out is easy to be had in Chamonix, 20 minutes away if you do want to go large one evening. It’s one of the major après-ski melting pots in the Alps with dozens of night spots of all kinds as well as a cinema and even a casino.
