Val Cenis does have good facilities for families and the relaxed atmosphere is family friendly too, but still it is worth ensuring your accommodation is convenient for nursery and ski school if you are going to need these services. And check that reaching the ski slopes and other resort facilities is easy from wherever you’re based, as the spread-out nature of the resort can leave you with a lot of walking to do if you get it wrong, or you haven’t got a car.

There are nurseries and ski schools in both villages. In Lanslebourg its Les P'tits Marrons (+33 (0)4 79 058001) which accepts babies from three months to three years old. And they run a children’s club for three to six year olds, or you can opt for ski school and nursery care combined from age three. In Lanslevillard its Les P'tits Loups (+33 (0)4 79 05 96 72) which accepts children aged from six months to six years old. Here the Children's Club is for children aged six to 12 with the ski school/ nursery combination only offered to three and four year olds.

There are good nursery slopes and snow gardens for snow play at the base of the slopes with family-friendly terrain on the mountain, and at the end of the day some fun activity options are available like bowling. Restaurants are family friendly, many with child menus or simple discounted child portions.
