Les Deux Alpes generally attracts quite a young apres ski crowd and so several of the 30 or so bars are often buzzing with wide-ranging international clientele. On the other hand mid-week and low-season it may not be quite so lively, so if you’re coming to party, be careful which dates you choose!
Le Windsor (70 Avenue de la Muzelle; +33 (0)4 76 79 22 95) is popular with the locals (always a good sign), serves cocktails and stocks more than 100 beers and whiskeys. O'Brians (Centre d'animation; +33 (0)4 76 79 55 94) is the inevitable ‘real’ Irish pub.
At the other end of town Smithy’s (7 Rue de Cairou; +33 (0) 476 77 36 79) is almost always lively and particularly popular with the massive British contingent that descends upon Les Deux Alpes. The night club L'Avalanche (5 rue du Cairou; +33 (0)9 63 49 68 72) is open to 4am nightly.
